This international conference explores repetition as a defining feature of the recording age from the replayed pop song to the endless scroll of short-form video. Scholars from media studies, sound studies, musicology, film, philosophy, and cultural theory come together to examine how technologies of repetition transform perception, memory, and subjectivity.
